All Fishing Hot Spots Maps are produced using the latest computer drafting and imaging technology for optimum accuracy and clarity. Each detailed map provides depth contours, boat ramps, structure, navigational aids and lake info such as gamefish abundance, forage base, water clarity, weedline depth and bottom composition. Maps also contain expanded GPS waypoints and an easy-to-use latitude and longitude grid. In addition, productive fishing spots are marked and numbered on L-series maps (feature not included on A-series maps). Descriptions are provided for these specific areas, offering suggestions on how to fish them and when they are most productive. Everett Jordan Lake show outstanding growth rates and many are amazingly fat with good numbers of largemouth tipping the scales at 6-pounds. This lake also offer nice crappie, hybrid stripers and catfish as well. Falls Lake A well-known trophy producing fishery, Falls Lake is one of North Carolina's best largemouth bass lakes. Studies show that 70% of the bass in Falls Lake exceed 14'. Loads of crappie and catfish are a bonus. Lake Gaston Lake Gaston offers an excellent largemouth bass population with many double-digit hogs, nice crappie, stripers and some decent walleye. High Rock Lake Crappie and largemouth bass are by far the primary draw to High Rock Lake and most bass caught here average from 13' to 16'. Good numbers of stripers, bluegill and channel cats round out this fishery. Kerr Reservoir (Buggs Island-East ? NC/VA) This map details Kerr Reservoir east of Buggs Island. Kerr Reservoir maintains excellent largemouth bass numbers and, while it is not trophy water, there are big numbers of fish. It's also one of the few reservoirs with a healthy, naturally reproducing striped bass fishery. Crappie also thrive in these waters with many 2-pounders caught here. Kerr Reservoir (Buggs Island-West ? NC/VA) This map covers Kerr Reservoir west of Buggs Island. Kerr Reservoir produces good numbers of largemouth bass and a healthy, naturally reproducing striped bass population resides here. Great crappie water with many pushing 2lbs. Lake Norman Lake Norman has a natural population of blue catfish with the potential for some in the 40 to 50-pound class. Good numbers of largemouth bass, stripers and crappie. Lake Wylie (NC/SC) The black crappie fishing in Lake Wylie is highly dynamic with lots of fast-growing fish. Heavy pressure and high harvest rates limit the trophy largemouth, but there are plenty to go around. Lake Wylie also hosts good numbers of a variety of catfish species.
