Fishing Hot Spots Topo Maps for South Carolina
All Fishing Hot Spots Maps are produced using the latest computer drafting and imaging technology for optimum accuracy and clarity. Each detailed map provides depth contours, boat ramps, structure, navigational aids and lake info such as gamefish abundance, forage base, water clarity, weedline depth and bottom composition. Maps also contain expanded GPS waypoints and an easy-to-use latitude and longitude grid. In addition, productive fishing spots are marked and numbered on L-series maps. Descriptions are provided for these specific areas, offering suggestions on how to fish them and when they are most productive. Lake Greenwood This is the first contour map ever produced for Greenwood. Lake Greenwood has long been known for excellent crappie action, offering up slabs over one pound. Lake Marion (Santee Cooper) This map details Lake Marion, part of the Santee Cooper water system. Lake Marion is well-known for stripes that can weigh up to 50 lbs. Largemouth bass, black crappie, blue catfish and catfish opportunities exist here too. Lake Moultrie (Santee Cooper) Lake Marion's sister lake, Lake Moultrie is also part of the famous Santee Cooper waterway. Moultrie boasts a robust bass and catfish population that attracts numerous local and national fishing tournaments each year. Anglers will also find success targeting strippers and crappie. Lake Murray Lake Murray is an excellent fishery for stripers, producing trophies over 40-pounds. Largemouth bass over 10-pounds are also available. Hartwell Lake East (Hartwell Dam) An impoundment of the Savannah River, Hartwell Lake produces a stable population of largemouth bass with the average fish pushing the 2 lb. mark. Hybrid Strippers average between 5 and 6-pounds, and the average black crappie is 10' to 12', but fish up to 3-pounds are available. Hartwell Lake West (Beaver Dam) This map details Hartwell Lake west of Beaver Dam. Well-known for producing outstanding largemouth bass, the average Hartwell Hybrid Striper averages 5 to 6-pounds. A healthy population of black crappie and striped bass and crappie provide loads of angling opportunities.
